I had some problems getting OpenCV working on OpenSolaris.
Finally found a solution. Just do a
./configure AR=ar
else
./configure && make AR=ar
Couldn't find any link for OpenCV on OpenSolaris/Solaris so hope this helps people who are trying this out.
